William J. Wagner, 73, of Bel Air, MD passed away on Friday, April 24, at his home. Born in Fallston, MD, he was the son of the late Robert J. Wagner and Mary Helen Alexander Wagner. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Carol Schurman Wagner.
A talented machinist and machine designer, he had been employed with Sweetheart Cup and Solo Cup in Baltimore, MD and Federalsburg, MD, respectively. He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1961. Bill was a big sports fan. He was an avid bowler, bowling on leagues for over 50 years, played golf regularly with three hole-in-ones, and was a dedicated Orioles' fan. During retirement, he enjoyed traveling and RV camping; going to many National and State Parks around the country with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Diane Flayhart and husband, Bill, of Glyndon and Beth Wagner of India. He was the very proud "Pop" of his grandchildren, Liam and Hannah Flayhart.
He is also survived by his brother, Robert Wagner of St. Michaels and his sister, Mary Helen Livezey of Churchville. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, John Wagner of Fallston.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Wagner, Paul Deck, Adam Deck, Chris Deck, Bill Flayhart and Liam Flayhart. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wagner and Thomas Deck.
