Bill J. O'Rourke

WILLIAM JOSEPH O’ROURKE, JR., Age 82, of Bel Air, died on November 9, 2005, at Mariner Health of Bel Air.

Born in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late William Joseph O’Rourke, Sr., and Helen Wolfe O’Rourke. He was a past president of Bata USA, and had been General Manager of Endicott Johnson from 1960 to 1962, and Vice-President of Freeman Shoe from 1962 until 1971. A resident of Harford County for 25 years, he was the owner of Advestors, a business marketing firm from 1983 to 1995, and was very active in the Chamber of Commerce, and the Harford County Chapter of SCORE, The Service Corps of Retired Executives. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard.

Mr. O’Rourke is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Middleton O’Rourke of Bel Air; one son, Paul Middleton O’Rourke of CO; and two grandchildren, Davis Middleton O’Rourke of CO, and Catherine Connolly O’Rourke of CO.

In addition to his parents, Mr. O’Rourke was predeceased by one son, William David O’Rourke.
