Bettyjane Cook

BettyJane (Gress) Cook, age 80, of Perryville, MD, passed away on April 14, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Gress and Bertha Barnes Young. She worked as a florist and waitress for most of her life and in her spare time she loved to bake, make floral arrangements and garden. She enjoyed spending time with family, childhood friends, as well as new friends of which she had many, and lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted follower of Charles Stanley and watched his church program every Sunday on television. She also loved red birds and going to Florida to visit.

Ms. Cook is survived by her children, Diana Shawkey-Blythe and husband, Jim, of Perryville, MD, Debbie Little and husband, Gary, of Phoenix, MD, Wesley Smith and wife, Lisa, of Reisterstown, MD and Tammy Ashburn and husband, David, of Whiteford, MD; grandchildren, Kimmee, Trisha, Dawn, Kevin and Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Autumn, Amber, Brooke and Noah.

Family will receive friends at the home of Gary and Debbie Little on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2 p.m.
