Betty Jean Whitaker

BETTY JEAN WHITAKER, age 65, of Joppa, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on December 11, 2002. Born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, she was the daughter of Helen Hopkins Herrin of Joppatowne and the late Paschal Emerson Herrin. A Harford County resident for 39 years, she was a member of Towne Baptist Church in Joppa.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her husband of 46 years, Earnest Whitaker; one son, William E. Whitaker of Joppa; two daughters, Teresa A. Hartkopf of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Lisa H. Blake of Belcamp; five grandchildren, Heather Hartkopf; Melissa Hartkopf; Jonathan Hartkopf, all of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Sarah Blake and Brandon Blake, both of Belcamp.
