Betty Jane Carrozza

January 15, 1924 — June 25, 2013

Betty Jane Carrozza, age 89, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 25, 2013 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Garfield Jones and Sarah Williams Jones. After high school, she graduated from Wyoming Seminary Business and Secretarial School and worked for the Civil Service, US Navy, US Army, and Social Security Administration until she retired in 1978. A wonderful soprano singer, she sang for the Kiwanis Club shows, Welsh Song Festivals, and was a lifelong Presbyterian Choir member. She was asked to sing for many weddings and celebrations. She loved to be around her family and friends.

Betty Jane Carrozza is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Lt. Col James Carrozza, grandson Donald Clayton Carrozza and brother William Jones. She is survived by sons George "Gary" Carrozza and wife, Beverly, of Columbia, MD, James H. Carrozza and wife, Lynn, of Fallston, MD; daughters, Elizabeth Jane Szymanski and husband, Ken, of Bel Air, MD and Margaretta Grimm and husband, Bryan, of Goose Creek, SC ; and grandchildren, Katilin E. Carrozza, Evan J. Carrozza, David J. Szymanski, Sarah Beth Szymanski, Michael J. Szymanski and Mia S. Grimm.
