Betty Lou Hancock

Betty Lou Hancock, age 87, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 27, 2024, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Katherine (Keeman) Nichols and wife of 69 years to the late Richard Lee Hancock, Sr. She loved baking cakes and delivering them for weddings, birthdays, and holidays, she enjoyed working in her garden, watching and playing with all her grandchildren.   

Betty is survived by her sons, Richard Lee (Barbara) Hancock, Jr., Craig (Brenda) Hancock; grandchildren, Jessica (Darren) Yingling, Holly Hancock and fiancé Chris Smith, Luke (Jessica) Hancock, Christina (Michael) Harding, Noah & Hannah Hancock; great grandchildren, Brixton & Lennox Yingling, Grady, Coleson & Wrenly Smith, Maisie & Sage Hancock, Briar & Reeve Harding. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Cogle, Nancy Burns, Frances O'Brien, and Joannie Meckles.
