Betty Flottemesch

Betty Flottemesch, age 84, of Joppa, MD, died on February 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Peter and Evelyn Deloris Geary Mehr and wife of the late Joseph Henry Flottemesch. A graduate of Old Post Road High School, she was past president of the E.H.S Band Parents Association, the E.H.S Athletic Boosters and the E.M.S. and Deerfield Elementary P.T.A. One of the founders of Edgewood boys baseball, girls softball and Edgewood Football, she designed the award pins for the Edgewood Lions Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed photography, art and travel.

Mrs. Flottemesch is survived by sons, Paul Joseph Flottemesch and wife, Barbara, of Abingdon, MD and Stephen A. Flottemesch and wife, Cindy, of Jarrettsville, MD; her brother, Robert P. Mehr of Bel Air, MD; and grandchildren, Rebecca Flottemesch Hicks and husband, Byshe, of Baltimore, MD, Timothy J. Flottemesch of Joppa, MD and Jennifer L. Flottemesch of Jarrettsville, MD.
