Bertha May Ruffing

Bertha May Ruffing, age 93, of Bel Air, MD passed away peacefully with her son by her side on April 22, 2018 at her home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Goldbeck) Scroggs and wife of the late Joseph Charles Ruffing. She worked as a secretary after her husband died and raised 4 boys. She worked her way up to be an Administrative Assistant at Towson State University and always provided for her family. She was very dedicated to her family and loved and was loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruffing is survived by three sons, William Gregory Ruffing (Christina), Michael Christopher Ruffing and Thomas Anthony Ruffing; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Charles Ruffing Jr. and brother, Stanley Scroggs.
