Bernice L. Golya

Bernice L. Golya, age 88, of Bel Air, MD passed away on July 1, 2017 at Dacota Assisted Living in Aberdeen, MD. Born in Moosic, PA, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Grudzinski) Lasak, and wife, for 67 years, of the late Stephen Golya Jr. She was a former resident of Chambersburg, PA where she had resided at 81 Field Circle and had attended Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was a caregiver to everyone, including her family and friends, and was also a hospital volunteer.

Mrs. Golya is survived by her son, Stephen Golya III and wife, Nancy, of Bel Air; her siblings, Jack Lasak and Ann Marie Romanko; grandchildren, Kelly York, Andrew Bennett, Austin Golya, Katie Golya and Lauren Golya; and great-grandson, Michael York.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Marie Bennett and her brother, Frank Lasak.
