Bernard John Zahm

Bernard John Zahm, age 68, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on July 17, 2013 at his home. Born in Boise, ID, he was the son of the late Bernard Wood and Doris Harriet Messick Zahm. A 23 year veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Vietnam War. He then worked for 21 years in Civil Service in tank maintenance. A resident of Harford County for over 40 years, he was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Mr. Zahm is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shirley L. Zahm; sons, Bernard P. Zahm of IL and Shawn Ruedi of Aberdeen; daughters, Cheri Merenco of CA and Danielle Bane of Havre de Grace; sisters, Doris Wanless of Aberdeen and Nancy Scheider of NJ; and 11 grandchildren.
