BERNARD J. EHRLICH, age 71, of Bel Air, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on March 24, 2005. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Herman Otto and Grace Hunter Ehrlich. He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served during both the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He was an honored recipient of the Purple Heart. A resident of Harford County for 24 years, he loved to travel and collected eagles. He was a proud member and volunteer for the Maryland Republican party. He was a lifetime member of the Parkville VFW. His family said he lived life to the fullest.
Mr. Ehrlich is survived by three daughters, Lori Ximenez of San Antonio, Texas; Vicki O’Brien of Joppatowne; Karen Ehrlich-Eller of Bel Air; one sister, Kathy Packard of Texas City, Texas; six grandchildren, David C. Hoofnagle, Jr. of Kyle, Texas; Angelica M. Hoofnagle of Hutto, Texas; Christopher M. Pohto of San Antonio, Texas; Blake Figgins of Joppatowne; twins, Amanda and Ashlie Shafer, both of Lewisburg, West Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Savanah M. Nevue of Hutto, Texas; Jacob Dillion Tranthan of Hutto, Texas; and David C. Hoofnagle, III of Kyle, Texas. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Norman Ehrlich.
