Bernard H. Cook, age 88, of Forest Hill, MD, died on July 26, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Pineville, WV, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Nyanza Faye Belcher Cook. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country as a Sgt. during WWII. He had worked for the U.S. Government as an electrical engineer and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Shrewsbury, PA. An excellent craftsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. A kind and loving person, he was very involved with his family.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Cook of Forest Hill, MD; daughter, Judy Kay Cook; brother, William C. Cook; sisters, Ruby Thompson and Pauline Raymond; three grandchildren, Leisa Hart, Melissa Bones, Heather Carlano; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle Campasino and Alexandria Balcerak. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Gary Lee Cook; brother, Ronald Cook; and sister, Geneva Mason.
