Bernard ''Bernie'' M. Oktavec Sr.

BERNARD "BERNIE" M. OKTAVEC, SR., age 88, of Bel Air, MD, died at Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, MD on June 3, 2008. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Anton and Theresa Soler Oktavec and the husband of 65 years of the late Florence Rita Kuczynski Oktavec. For many years, he and his family owned and operated Oktavec Art Shop in East Baltimore. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, Bel Air, MD. He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Oktavec is survived by two sons, Bernard "Boh" Oktavec and his wife, Joan, of Street, MD and Ronald Oktavec of Westminster, MD; three grandchildren, Cheryl Braerman and her husband, Eric, of Forest Hill, MD, Craig Oktavec and his wife, Kristen, of Forest Hill, MD, and Kim Crane and her husband, Britt, of Charlotte, NC; and two great grandchildren, Mitch and Will Oktavec of Forest Hill, MD. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers.
