Bernadette Wendricks, age 83, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on June 19, 2024, at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Arcachon, France, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Yvonne (Caule) Cazobon and wife of the late Frederick Wendricks.
Bernadette was born and educated in France, where she met her late husband of 50 years. She devotedly supported him as an Army wife and served as an interpreter for the Army. Together, they traveled extensively, a time she cherished for exploring new places, which began her lifelong love for the beach and the ocean, stemming from her childhood near the French coast.
Upon settling in Harford County, Bernadette became an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir for many years. In her leisure time, she found great pleasure in quilting and creating fabric decorations.
Bernadette Wendricks will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
Bernadette is survived by her son, Jonathan Wendricks of Anderson, IN; daughter, Catherine Campinos of New Market, MD; and sister, Annie Cazabon.
In addition to her parents, Bernadette was preceded in death by her brothers, Jean-Jacque Cazabon and Michel Cazabon.
