Benjamin Edgar Patterson, Sr.

BENJAMIN EDGAR PATTERSON, SR., age 88, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 29, 2006 at Rest Haven in Spring Garden, PA. Born in Street, MD, he was the son of the late John Samuel and Vanie Blanche McElwanin Patterson. He served in the US Army in the European Theater during WWII. He was a grounds maintenance supervisor at Towson State University, where he worked for twenty-nine years before retiring. His family said that he enjoyed fishing, hunting and carpentry work.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Elizabeth Wayne Patterson of Manchester, PA; one son, Benjamin E. Patterson, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Sharon L. Edwards of Manchester, PA; one sister, Mary Bailey of Bel Air, MD; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Carrick, Mark Browning, Benjamin E. Patterson III, Benjamin E. Patterson, Jr., Austin Comeaux, and Joseph Patterson.
