Belford Russell Jones

Belford Russell Jones, age 75, of Joppa, MD, died on January 16, 2009 at his home. Born in Magnolia, MD, he was the son of the late Belford Russell and Dorothy Elizabeth Timmons Jones and husband of the late Eleanor Mae Severns Jones. A veteran of the U.S. Army he served our country in the Korean War. He was a life long resident of Harford County and had worked for Genstar for 38 years as a carpenter. His family said he enjoyed working on Snapper lawn mowers.

Mr. Jones is survived by his son, David Jones and his girlfriend, Beth McClafferty of White Marsh, MD; daughters, Peggy Anderson and husband, Kenneth of Joppa, MD, Judy Jones of Pennsylvania and Alice Jones of Joppa, MD; brothers, Wayne Fisher of Pennsylvania, Harvey Fisher of Havre de Grace, MD and Norman Fisher of Essex, MD; sisters, Pearl Turner of Aberdeen, MD, Ruth Bowie of Pennsylvania and Sally Anderson of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Merle and Jason Turner, Danielle Miles and Steven Jones Jr.; and great grandchild Jorden Turner.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Jones was predeceased by a son, Steven Jones and grandchild, David Jones Jr.
