Beatrice B. Keefer

Beatrice Keefer, age 92, of North East, MD, passed away on November 1, 2012 at Laurelwood Care Facility in Elkton, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Edward Rankle and Helen C. Fleming Barth and wife of the late Robert M. Keefer Sr. During WW11 she lived in California while her husband served in the Pacific. During the 1990's she lived in Florida and was very active at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach. In her early years she was a pioneer in her time, working at various jobs, such as sales manager, rental agent for the Meyerhoff Company, and as an administrator for the Baltimore County Chapter 8 program. In Florida, she worked in sales at Dilliards. She had an assertive personality and lived a very active life. She loved Disney World and had attended opening day there. She also was very good at scrapbooking, liked traveling, crafts and stitchery.

Mrs. Keefer is survived by her daughter Betty K. Sands and husband, Paul, of North East, MD; grandchildren, Scott Sands and his wife Heather of Joppatowne, MD, Salliann Muscella and her husband Louis of Port Deposit, MD and Tina Keefer-Foxwell and her husband Michael of Dundalk, MD; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son, Robert M. Keefer Jr. and sister, Ruth Dieter.
