Barnzie Nell Lewis

Barnzie Nell Lewis, age 80, of Aberdeen, MD, died on February 9, 2009 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Liscoe and Viola Elizabeth Asberry Akers and wife of the late Sammy Wilson Lewis. She had worked at Bata Shoe Company for 30 years in production and enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, and watching sports on television. She attended Carsins Run Baptist Church where she made many friends, and thoroughly enjoyed listening to her daughter, Sue, and her husband, Mike, sing at churches and different functions.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughter, S. Sue Ward and husband, J. Mike, of Havre de Grace, MD; sisters, Mary Wiseman, Ella Stephenson, Hazel Shouse, Margaret Rodriquz, and Mildred Pennington, all of Virginia; grandson, Bryan Ward of Nashville, TN; and great-grandchildren, Jarett and Ayana Ward, both of Nashville, TN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Lewis Forbes.
