Barclay Davis Tucker, Ii

BARCLAY DAVIS TUCKER, II, age 69, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Harford County, died in Union Memorial Hospital on September 24, 2004. Born in Forest Hill, MD in 1934, he was the son of the late Roger Gray and Mary Susan Campbell Tucker. A 1953 graduate of Bel Air High School, he played basketball and was known as Bob Tucker. On March 24, 1956, he married Betty Lou Lowe. After working for his father, Roger Tucker, at B.D. Tucker & Son in Bel Air on Route #1 and seventeen years of service for International Harvester in Hickory selling farm machinery, he opened his own business in 1977, Tucker Equipment Company, Aberdeen, Md. The business was J I Case Construction Equipment which was the #1 dealership in North America in 1984. He developed a strong customer base throughout the years and was well respected in the business community. After 20 years, he sold the business in1994 and retired to Naples, Florida.. He was the president of the Bel Air Jaycees. He was a member of the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Naples, Florida. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball and was an avid cyclist while living in Harford County and continued cycling in Naples where he made many friends. Bob loved music of all kinds. He and Betty Lou enjoyed dancing, country music and the symphony. He also enjoyed gardening.

Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Lou Lowe Tucker; two daughters, Tracey Lee Tucker of Forest Hill, MD; Jo Elaine Tucker of Naples, Florida; and one sister, Elaine Moyer of Edgewood, MD. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Lynn Tucker.
