Barbara Rose Mitchell

Barbara Rose Mitchell, age 68 of Bel Air, MD went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2008 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. She was born in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Melvin George and Ella Frances McDowell Snelling. A resident of Harford County for 47 years, she had worked at Bata Shoe Company and Hart Heritage Assisted Living. She operated an in home day care and was also a home health caregiver. She was a born again Christian who used her faith to guide her through life. She enjoyed listening to religious music, watching birds, playing the guitar and she loved to shop. Her faith and family were the most important aspects of her life.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Edward Mitchell of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Donna Sue Mitchell of Bel Air, MD; a son, Jeffrey C. Mitchell and his wife Robyn of Nottingham, MD; two grandchildren Jonathan A. Mitchell and Sarah Marie Mitchell of Nottingham, MD; four sisters, Agnes C. Mason and her husband Gary of Gore, V.A.; E. Deane Truslow of Perryville, MD; Sylvia E. Grove and her husband, Bill, of Port Deposit, MD; N. Kay Snelling of Colora, MD; and eight nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, David L. Snelling; two sisters, Linda A. Snelling and Susan M. Snelling; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Truslow.
