BARBARA E. MINNICK, age 64, of Bel Air, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 9, 1939 in the town of Bel Air, Harford County, she was the daughter of the late Reid and Lily Caudill, and the wife for 28 years of the late Lester J. Minnick, Jr. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1958. She worked at Harford Mutual for a number of years, before moving on to Kirk Army Health Clinic, and then TECOM on Aberdeen Proving Grounds. After her retirement, she worked part time at the Lottery kiosk in the Harford Mall.
Barbara was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and she especially enjoyed the Living Christmas Tree that was performed at Christmas time. Her favorite song was Amazing Grace, it brought tears to her eyes.
She liked listening to country music, and really enjoyed the occasional trip to Delaware Park.
Barbara, beloved mother, sister, and aunt, is survived by her daughter, Stacey Karg and husband, Scott Karg of Bel Air; her brother, Clifton Caudill and his wife, Ruth Caudill of Bel Air; and her sister, Lugene Mattingly of Forest Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 572, Bel Air, Maryland 21014.
The family wishes to thank all the staff of the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for their care and support.
