Barbara Elizabeth Osborn aged 84, died peacefully after a short illness on, Thursday, September 22, 2016.
Born on February 19, 1932 in Rossville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Andrus Koldus of Illinois and the late Loraine E. Lehner née Ward of Maryland.
In September 1951, she married Buddy Dale Osborn of Fort Smith, Arkansas; with whom she would share the next 37 years and the upbringing of their 6 children.
Barbara was an avid bowler and played on leagues her entire adult life until failing health forced her to stop. She was also the living embodiment of the military family. This enabled her to live in many duty stations across the United States and Germany in support of her stepfather and her husband before settling in Abingdon, MD in 1971. She continued to support the military as an Army and Navy Mom for 3 of her children, and personally in her vocation of head waitress at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Officers Club until her retirement.
Barbara is survived by two brothers Forrest (Buddy) Francis of California and Gary Lehner of Maryland. Four children, Linda Dube (Ernest) of Virginia, Raymond Osborn (Rhonda) of Pennsylvania, Allen Osborn (Susan) of Connecticut, and Laurie Mueller (Charlie Adams) of Maryland.
Thirteen grandchildren, Christopher, Phillip, Alisha, Valerie, Matthew, Kathryn, Hans, Kyle, Samantha, Jason, Collin, Sarah and Andrew; as well as 7 great grandchildren and many nieces nephews and friends.
Besides her parents and husband Barbara is predeceased by her brother William Koldus, daughter Elizabeth Osborn Slate and son Robert Osborn.
