B. Ruth Foard

B. Ruth Foard, of Bel Air, MD, died at the age of 95 on December 9, 2016. She was born in Madonna, MD to Jesse Billingslea Foard and Bessie Ray (Hitchcock) Foard. After completing business school at the age of 19, Ruth began working at Lutz Appliance Store in Bel Air. She worked there her entire career and retired on February 4, 2008 as president and owner of the company. She was named a Harford County Living Treasure in 2015 and was also named one of the most outstanding business women of the 20th Century in Harford County. Ruth was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church, an avid reader and enjoyed being with family.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Towner, Florence Bennington, Katheryn Zepp, Jessie Foard, Margaret Foard and Robert Foard.
