Austin Comeaux Jr., age 74, of Bel Air, MD passed away on February 26, 2017 with his family beside him at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Acadia, LA, he was the son of Austin and Berna Thibodeaux Comeaux. A veteran of the U.S. Army he served his country from 1960-1963 where he earned his sharpshooter badge and continued to serve in the Army reserves until 1966. Following the Army he worked at APG Aberdeen Test Center as a weapons specialist until he retired in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bicycling and being a loveable prankster but his true joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Comeaux is survived by his wife, Joyce Thelen Comeaux; sons, Michael Comeaux , Robert Comeaux and wife Resalee, Patrick Comeaux and wife Lisa. step sons, William Filling and Michael Filling; brother, John Comeaux; sisters, Dolores Moody, Glenda Young, Debbie Miller and Tina Duplechin; grandchildren, Kyralee Comeaux, Madilynn Comeaux, Austin Comeaux, Justine Filling, Graham Farr, Colin Farr, Ajay Bell and longtime friend, Edward Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Regan Comeaux, sister, Patricia Fontenot and brothers, Kirk Comeaux and Leeander Comeaux.
