Augustine B. Gilley

AUGUSTINE B. GILLEY, age 79, of Edgewood, MD died in Young at Heart Assisted Living, Joppa, MD on November 1, 2003. Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Minnie Jackson Bevins, and the wife of the late Grant J. Gilley. She was a member of Spedden Methodist Church in Cambridge, MD. During WW II she worked at APG assembling airplanes. She worked by her husband’s side daily at the Abingdon Mason Contractors. She loved crocheting, crabbing and fishing.

Mrs. Gilley is survived by one son, James G. Gilley, Jr. of Edgewood, MD; six grandchildren, James G. Gilley, III of Belcamp, MD; Aric Shawn Gilley of Conowingo, MD; Peyton Victoria Neilson of Aberdeen, MD; Cayla Elizabeth Gilley of Edgewood, MD; Patrick Hampton of Edgewood, MD; Robert Bremmer of Lancaster, PA; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: James G. Gilley, III, Aric Shawn Gilley, Peyton Victoria Neilson, Cayla Elizabeth Gilley, Patrick Hampton, Robert Bremmer, and Vernon Gilley.
