Arthur "Tex" E. Schofield, age 88, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 28, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Aberdeen, MD, he was the son of the late William Russell and Lacey Cordelia Baldwin Schofield. He retired, after 25 years, from Edgewood Arsenal where he worked as a Program Analyst and had worked for Harford County Board of Education for 15 years in their food service department. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. An avid lover and musician of country and blue grass music, he was a member of The Roven Ramblers professional country band whose music was often played on the radio in the 1940's. An avid bowler, he also enjoyed playing pool, cards, fishing and eating crabs. He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Schofield is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Charlotte V. Schofield; daughters, Laureen L. Hughes and husband, Steve, of Abingdon and Kathleen L. Capasso and husband, Michael, of Havre de Grace; brother-in-law, James H. Cage and wife, Helen, of Rising Sun; and grandchildren, Adam S. Hughes and fiancée, Tiffany, Ryan M. Hughes and wife, Agatha, Shelby L. Hughes-Pace and husband, Matthew, Gabriel M. Capasso and Juliana C. Capasso.
Pallbearers will be Adam S. Hughes, Ryan M. Hughes, Gabriel M. Capasso, Matthew R. Pace, Leo J. Sydlik and Michael W. Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelby L. Hughes-Pace, Juliana C. Capasso, Agatha H. Hughes and Tiffany N. Saul.
