Arnett Tomey

October 15, 1922 — July 30, 2006

ARNETT “BUDD” TOMEY, age 83, of Abingdon, MD, died on July 30, 2006 at his home. Born in Alice, WV, he was the son of the late Harold Aaron and Effie Elizabeth Radcliff Tomey. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a construction foreman, and also worked for Bob Bell Chevrolet where he retired in 1988. He was a member of Maple View Baptist Church. His family said that he enjoyed golf, his grand children and great grandchildren.

Mr. Tomey is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances L. Snider Tomey; two daughters, Angela L. “Sue” Meredith of Essex, MD and Regina Lynn Arnold of Abingdon, MD; one brother, Aaron Carroll Tomey of Casa Grande, AZ; one sister, Betty Sheets of Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren, Tony Wagner of Shrewsbury, PA, John Meredith III of White Marsh, MD, Lora Brockmeyer and Paula Meredith, both of Essex, MD; Kristen Arnold, Kaitlyn Arnold and Korynne Arnold, all of Abingdon, MD; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one son, Arnett “Buddy” Tomey.
