Mr. Horton was involved in local and national politics. He was a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. He worked as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Arlie, referred to quite often as a “gentle man” was an avid follower of Blue Grass and Olde Time Folk Music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren telling stories about the “good old days”. His family says he will remain in their hearts forever.

Arlie served his country during WW II as a Medium Tanker Crewman. He was a member of the Bel Air Odd Fellows Lodge where he served as Chaplain and Grand Herald during his tenure. Mr. Horton attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
