Arlene Raymond

Arlene F. Sailer Raymond, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on January 10.

She was the beloved wife of the late MSG James N. Raymond. She was a strong and supportive Army wife. Arlene is survived by her children Debra Leadore and husband, Gary, Phyllis Raymond Gilbert and late husband, Donald; Grandchildren, Nicole Leadore, Steven Leadore and wife Rania, and Alexander Leadore and wife Amber. She was the beloved Great Grandmother of Aleena and Arianna. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon B. and Alice A. Sailer, and her sister, Mary Jane Sailer Black.

She was born in Shillington, PA, on August 28th, 1929. As an Army wife, she enjoyed the beauties of the United States and Europe. She kept her family strong when Sgt. Raymond served in Viet Nam and Korea. She loved music and with her beautiful soprano voice sang for all her years. Arlene was a member of the APG Women’s Choir, the Bel Air and Churchville Presbyterian Church Choirs, the Harford County Choral Society, and the Bel Air Community Chorus. She was requested to sing solos at weddings, funeral services, and holiday celebrations. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 35 years. She worked in Bel Air for the Sears catalog store on Main Street and the Bel Air Richardson Florist.
