Arleen Handy Bowen

ARLEEN HANDY BOWEN, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 16, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Piney Creek Township, NC, she was the daughter of the late Everett Lee Handy Sr. and Margaret Pearle Gaultney Handy, and wife of the late Edward Christian Bowen Sr. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a loving wife and mother, and loved spending time with her grandson.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by a son, Edward C. Bowen Jr. and his wife, Kathleen M., of Bel Air, MD; three brothers, Arch Handy and his wife, Rita, of Bel Air, MD, Everett Handy Jr. and his wife, Marge, of Edgewood, MD, William Handy of Edgewood, MD; sister-in-law, Lena Hickman of Baltimore, MD; and one grandson, James Edward "Jeb" Bowen of Bel Air, MD.

Honorary pallbearers will be Arch Handy, Everett Handy Jr., William Handy, and James Edward "Jeb" Bowen.
