Antonio S. Villareal Jr., age 86, of Belcamp, Maryland, passed away on February 26, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.
Born in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maura (Santos) Villareal and the beloved husband of Herminia G. Villareal. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud great-grandfather, Antonio’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Antonio met the love of his life, Herminia, at a party in the Philippines in the 1950s. Their love story blossomed, and they soon began a life together, welcoming their first child in 1961, Ronaldo (Ron) Villareal, followed by many more. With a deep commitment to education, Antonio and Herminia made the courageous decision to move to the United States in 1972 to ensure their children had access to the best opportunities. Their unwavering dedication to family and providing a bright future for their children is a testament to Antonio’s loving and selfless nature.
Antonio was highly intelligent and worked for Bata Shoe Co. as an accountant and then as a Controller for Dahan Home Builders in Bel Air. He had a deep appreciation for music and a passion for technology, from hi-fi stereo equipment to television and computers. He found great joy in dining out with family, savoring delicious food in the company of his loved ones. His warmth, wisdom, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Antonio is survived by his sons, Enrique "Eric" (Conny) Villareal, Ferdinand "Erdie" Villareal, and Fred (Aydan) Villareal; daughter, Shirl V.
