Anthony Robert Schepis

March 19, 1987 — September 2, 2022

Anthony “Tony” “Big Tone” Schepis, 35, of Bel Air, MD, unexpectedly passed away on September 2, 2022 with his trusted canine companion, Molly, by his side. Tony is the beloved son of Peter and Terri Schepis, dear brother of Rachel Burns and Sara Schepis and husband to Katie Schepis, nee Gostomski, brother-in-law of Gary Burns and Nathan Hough. He leaves behind 3 wonderful nephews, Anthony Schepis, Joseph (Emilia) and Nicholas Burns, and a beautiful niece, Gabrielle Schepis-Huntley. Tony is survived by a loving grandfather, Peter “Pops” Schepis and grandmother, Nadine Heitzenrater along with many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tony was a devoted and proud employee of Lazo Landscaping, where he was treated like family. Tony found great pleasure in bringing smiles to many customers’ faces and he loved to talk, aiding in his successful career.

Tony made many wonderful lifelong friends through the many years of playing football, baseball, and basketball. Tony was a loyal, lifelong fan of the Washington Capitals and the Washington Redskins.

To know Tony was to love Tony. He loved to be the life of the party and lived life to the fullest day after day. He was known amongst teachers and peers as the class clown and claims to have the highest SAT scores of his siblings.

Tony was very intelligent and driven, having received his education from C. Milton Wright High School and opted to further his education by obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University.

Tony will be sorely missed by his loving family, friends, and his family dog, Lily.

In lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donation to PAWS Dog Rescue of Harford County or St. Ignatius Church in Hickory in memory of Tony.
