Anthony J. Cosentino Sr.

April 21, 1922 — November 27, 2006

ANTHONY JOSEPH COSENTINO SR., age 84, of Bridgeville, DE, formerly of Kingsville, MD, died November 27, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD. He was the son of the late Alessio and Vincenza LaCotti Cosentino. He honorably served in the Army and the Coast Guard Reserve. Mr. Cosentino moved to Kingsville in 1952, where he built and operated Kingsville Repair until his retirement in 1984. He moved to Bridgeville to enjoy his love for farming and the Chesapeake Bay. He grew many fruits and vegetables, but was well known for his strawberries and asparagus. He never shied away from growing something difficult, whether it be figs or grapes for his wine making. Throughout his adult life he traveled with family and friends to the Eastern Shore for goose hunting and to Garrett County for deer hunting. He would never turn down an opportunity to go fishing and crabbing as well. In addition to his outdoor life, he enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford, DE.

Mr. Cosentino is survived by his wife of 56 years, I. Coleen Farley Cosentino; his son, Anthony Joseph Cosentino Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Forest Hill, MD; four daughters, Sandra Woolford, Cynthia Glorioso, Concetta Close and her husband Thomas and Christina Apicella, all of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren, Dennis Glorioso Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Nicholas Glorioso of Timonium, MD, Thomas Close Jr., John Close, Julia Apicella, Mark Apicella, Rachel Woolford all of Bel Air, MD, Jenna Cosentino and Maria Cosentino of Forest Hill, MD. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Martini of Long Beach, MD and Amelia Stephenson of Littleton, CO.
