Annie B. Mitchell

ANNIE B. MITCHELL, age 58, of Edgewood, MD, died on August 2, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Claxton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Hudson and Rosa Bell Broome West. For seventeen years, she worked for the Treasury Department in New Orleans and in Baltimore and was an independent Pampered Chef consultant along with her husband Eddie. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood and a former member of Nativity of Our Lord Church in Kenner, Louisiana. A member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, she was on the Pastoral Board and was President of the Black Catholic Ministry. She enjoyed being in the choir, being a reader, and numerous other church activities.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband of 38 years, Eddie E. Mitchell Jr. of Edgewood, MD, formerly of New York City; two sons, Eddie E. Mitchell III of Morrisville, NC and William L. E. Mitchell of Glen Burnie, MD; three daughters, Zenetta S. Mitchell of Laurel, MD, Angeline N. Mitchell of Jessup, MD, and Serwaa M. Mitchell of Glen Burnie, MD; three brothers, Willie James West and wife Rita of Queens, NY, Lawrence L. West, Andrew West and wife Grace of Brooklyn, NY; guardians Sarah and Winston Archer of Chesapeake, VA and two grandchildren, Iniyah Faith Mitchell of Appomattox, VA and Lolita C. Mitchell of Fayetteville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Ahnee Ayanna Mitchell and Imani Alizae Mitchell. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Byron James, Kenneth James, Terry Vann, Charles James Jr., Ronald Johnson, and Andrew West.
