Anna Ruth Deel

ANNA RUTH DEEL, age 94, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, formerly of Edgewood, died at her home on March 31, 2005. Born in Council, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Anderson McFadden and the late Armindy H. Boyd McFadden and the wife of the late Arnold Deel. She had worked at Bata Shoe Company for 15 years. In her 70’s, she moved to West Virginia, bought a home and started a whole new life. A seamstress and avid quilter, she altered clothes and sold quilts to make ends meet.

Mrs. Deel is survived by a daughter, Ola Gay Stanley of Hedgesville, West Virginia; two sisters, Ada Chapman of Greenville, South Carolina and Pearl Garrett of Easley, South Carolina; two granddaughters, Brenda Vaden of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Emily Sharron Zombro of Hedgesville, West Virginia; eight great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Gerald Deel; two daughters, Nola Lowe and Eloise Deel; and a grandson, Darrell Lowe.

Pallbearers will be her great nephews: Edward Deel, Steven Deel, Wesley Deel, Nathan Powers, Scott Powers, and Garrett Deel.
