Anna Marie Vacek

Anna Marie Vacek, age 79, of Joppa, MD passed on from this life on March 28, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in White Marsh, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Fredrick and Mabel Augusta Hinte Elste. A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she was a resident of Joppa for over 70 years. For over 50 years, she and her husband were known for their vegetable farm, Vacek's Farm in Joppa. In the community they were picked as one of the Most Beautiful People in Harford County and were also given the Channel 13 Salute for helping out their neighbors.

Mrs. Vacek is survived by her husband of 63 years, Louis J. Vacek Jr.; daughters, LuAnn Vacek-Young of Joppa, MD and Kathy L. Patrick and husband, Donald, of Cherryville, NC; sister, Ida Mae Hoffmeister of Perry Hall, MD; grandson, Corey J. Young of Joppa, MD; and many friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by seven siblings.

Pallbearers will be Michael Kelley, Dale Young, Jack Davidson, Ray Hoffmeister, Joseph Lucich, Wayne Rains, Kevin Heinz and Doug Brackins.
