Anna Marie Hughes

Anna Marie Hughes, age 86, of Aberdeen, MD and formerly of Bel Air, passed away on August 7, 2014 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Gerald and Alice Marie Haughey Wells and wife of the late Anthony "Tony" W. Hughes. A homemaker, she had also previously worked for the Bata Shoe Company, at the APG Edgewood Arsenal Post Exchange, Bainbridge as a Hallmark Representative and also as a telephone operator for many years. A member of St. Joan of Arc, she was also active in the Teen Club at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and Harford Hospice. She enjoyed going out to eat with her friends and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her son, Stephen A. Hughes and wife, Laureen, of Abingdon; daughters, Christina M. Glassman and husband, Ken, of Bel Air, Cheryl L. McElwain and husband, Joe, of Ladera Ranch, CA and Deborah A. Marley and husband, John, of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Adam Hughes and fiancée, Tiffany, Shelby and Matt Pace, Ryan and Agatha Hughes, Gennifer Glassman and spouse, Lisa, Robert and Valerie Glassman, James and Barbara Glassman, Nancy and Mike Myers, Justin and Tammy Myers, David and Katie McElwain, Nathan, Jeannie and Jinok McElwain, Katie Marley, Jenn and Donald Baker, Tony and Stephanie Marley and Michael Marley; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
