Anna Josephine Hall

ANNA JOSEPHINE HALL, age 87, of Joppa, died at her residence on January 15, 2004. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Margarete Savo Conturso and the wife of the late Herbert W. Hall. She worked as a caretaker of the developmentally disabled both adults and children. A Native of New Jersey, she settled in Joppatowne in 1964. She belonged to the Joppatowne Flower Garden Club. A resident of Havre de Grace for 12 years she volunteered at Citizens Nursing Home for 10 years. She lived at St. John’s Towers. She had great love of children.

Mrs. Hall is survived by one son, William H. Hall of Whiting, New Jersey; one daughter, Joanne M. Velez of Joppa; one brother, Charles Conturso of Yardlake, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Christina Beaver of Edgewood; Daniel Velez of Joppa; Sherri Swangler of New Jersey; William Hall, II of Whiting, New Jersey; and five great-greatchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Ralph Conturso and one sister, Katherine Dayton.
