Anna Elizabeth Allen

ANNA ELIZABETH ALLEN, age 94, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 16, 2007 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation, Forest Hill, MD. Born on May 8, 1913 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Anna Elizabeth Lucas Jurtinus and wife of the late George F. Allen. She worked for Goetze’s Caramel Cream Company in Baltimore for 20 years and as a hairdresser in Eastern Baltimore. She was a member of the Joppatowne Golden Agers and was a past member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. An avid knitter, she made blankets for family and friends and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, John G. Allen and his wife, Loretta, of Lewes, DE; a daughter, Eileen A. Miller and her husband, Frank, of Bel Air, MD; a sister, Doris Bush of Maple Shade, NJ; nine grandchildren, Lennie Miller, Kelly Ferguson, Patrick Miller, Todd Miller, Michelle McKee, Michael Joiner, Steven Joiner, Candice Canale, all of Maryland, Frank Miller Jr. of New Jersey; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lenny Miller, Todd Miller, Patrick Miller, Michael Joiner, Steven Joiner and Jason Canale.
