Anna "Ann" M. Holdorf, age 82, of Nottingham, PA, formerly of Bel Air, died on October 28, 2008 at her home. Born in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Barnaby and Ethel May Parks Gross. She retired, after 33 years, from Harford County Public Schools where she was a secretary at Bel Air High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Holdorf is survived by her son, George R. Holdorf Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Bel Air, MD; daughters, Sheila M. Freed and husband, Philip, of Nottingham, PA and Karen L. Johnson and husband, Tom, of Elk City, OK; sister, Frances A. Barr of Havre de Grace, MD; six grandchildren, Jennifer L. Brown of Baldwin, MD, Rebecca A. Houck of Hydes, MD, Kelly M. Lama of Hyattsville, MD, Dawn J. Bayer of Norrisville, MD, James R. Holdorf of West Hollywood, CA, and Michele E. Markowski of Bel Air, MD; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her long time companion, Jack Leader.
Pallbearers will be C. Taylor Brown, Randy S. Houck, Charles V. Brown, James R. Holdorf, Kelly M. Lama, and Mark B. Bayer.
