ANN MILLER, age 81, of Bel Air, died at her home on December 21, 2002. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Valta Myers Raymond, and the wife of the late Charles F. Miller. A creative and artistic person, she worked as a commercial artist. Her wisdom and insight into the human spirit was sharp and profound from life lived all over the world. While attending art college in Maryland, she met and married her husband, Charles, who was an Army Air Corp Veteran. As a lawyer for the Department of the Defense, Charles’ work took the family all over the world. Ann overcame many challenges and experienced tremendous adventures. Germany, Iran, France, and the Philippines were some of the many places she called home, but Casablanca held some of her fondest memories. After her husband’s death in 1982, she returned to Maryland and settled into a quiet life.
Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, CPO Dale A. Miller and his wife, Colleen Miller, of Rota, Spain; one daughter, Val Mills and her husband, Gary D. Mills, of Bel Air; two brothers, Joel Raymond of Palo Alto, California; Phillip Raymond of Emerald Island, Florida; four grandchildren, Jason Monmonier of Bel Air; Kara Mills of Bel Air; Reed Miller of Rota, Spain; and Dean Miller of Rota, Spain.
