Ann Hargraves Mccarron

Ann Hargraves McCarron, age 78, of Darlington, Maryland passed away on August 5, 2021 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, was the daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Ann Hargraves (Scott) Kelly Jr. and wife of the late James R. McCarron . Ann attended North Harford High School and was a girls All-State Basketball player. She was a graduate of The Community College of Baltimore and worked for the State of Maryland for almost 30 years as a Social Worker. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Havre de Grace for many years and a past member of Darlington Volunteer Fire Company. Ann loved traveling, especially to Wales to visit her childhood friend, Waynette Hayward. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her close friends Jackie Maguire and Beverly Jones. Above all, Ann always put her family first and she loved them dearly.

Ann is survived by her children, Michael S. Harkins and wife Susan, Martha A. Danelle and husband Dave, Mark K. Harkins and wife Gina, Christopher A. Harkins and wife Tracy, and Ella A. Mason and husband Andrew; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert Kelly III, William and Thomas Kelly. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Burchett.
