Ann E. Hyde, age 72, of Bel Air, MD passed away on November 2, 2017 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of Herman and Viola (Cotter) Altmann. She enjoyed crocheting and had a passion for Native American culture and art. She was famous for her blankets that she would pass out to friends and loved ones. A very dedicated social worker, she had her own private practice with a focus on helping women and children. She often was accompanied by her therapy dog Cricket in the field doing her work. She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother, and her grandchildren were so important to her.
Mrs. Hyde is survived by her husband, Wesley “Chuck” Charles Hyde; two daughters, Heather Hill (Corey) and Gwendolyn Merz (Jarrett); son, Michael Hyde (Katherine); brother, Herman John Altmann; sister, Mary Lou Corea; five grandchildren, Preston Merz, Mikel Hill, Sofia Hill, Pryce Merz and Saylor Hyde; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Herman William Altmann and niece Mary Catherine Corea.
