Ann "Babe" Tutchton, age 91, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest daughter of Julius and Constance (Stahoviak) Helinski. During her career, she worked at Lockheed Martin and the Aegis newspaper. In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing--friends said she knew how to "cut a fancy rug!" Ann was incredibly crafty and loved doing projects with her grandchildren. Spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was inside painting a sun-catcher or outside in the yard, was the greatest joy in her life. She also enjoyed gardening, playing piano, singing, Orioles baseball and cooking. She was famous for her crab soup and deviled eggs.
Mrs. Tutchton is survived by her husband, Henry Ford Tutchton; her daughter, Henrietta (Jo) Taylor, son-in-law, William James Taylor III, and her grandchildren; Shannon Taylor-Campola, Daniel Taylor, and Marikate Taylor. She is predeceased by her grandson, William James Taylor IV.
After the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the Tower Restaurant on Main Street in Bel Air.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following organizations, as Ann was an avid lover of both music and feline friends: Animal Rescue, Inc., https://www.animalrescueinc.org/, 2 Heritage Farm Drive, New Freedom, PA 17349, The Humane Society of Harford County, http://www.harfordshelter.org/, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047, Seasons Foundation Music Therapy Program, http://seasonsfoundation.org/donate/, 6400 Shafer Ct., Suite 700, Rosemont, IL 60018.
