Ann B. Ramsay passed away on February 21, 2012 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore from complications from an automobile accident last August. Ann was a life long resident of Harford County, Maryland, serving as a teacher, public school principal and administrator for 25 years. For a decade she inspired the student teachers at Towson University while she served as their instructor. She was inducted into the Harford County Public School Educator Hall of Fame in April 2010, and was serving as the President of the Harford County Retired Teachers Association. Ann was also very active at Harford Community College having served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Harford Community College Foundation, as well as a Director of the Leadership Academy and active with the Alumni Association. She also served as President of the Al Cesky Scholarship Fund. She enjoyed life and was known to stay active at all times helping people. She also enjoyed traveling and hiking, especially in the Appalachian Mountains and Glacier National Park, but her biggest joy was being with her family and friends at their summer home at the river.

Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles "Bud" Ramsay, her son Mark and daughter-in-law Patty, her daughter Kay and son-in-law Brian Balderson, her mother Elma Bowman, her twin brother Alfred Bowman and grandchildren Marianne, Melissa, Jennifer and Tyler.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Ramsay Family Scholarship Endowment Fund, Harford Community College, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21015. The family is planning a celebration of Ann's life sometime in the spring.
