Andrew Wall Johnson, 64, died of a heart attack at his home in Churchville. He was born on Staten Island, NY in 1949, the son of Felicia C. Johnson and the late Andrew Johnson of Bel Air. After graduating from Bel Air High School in 1967, Mr. Johnson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as an air traffic controller in Saigon, South Vietnam. He worked in Ballistics for 32 years at Aberdeen Proving Ground before retiring in 2008. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Chris C. Johnson and his wife, Lydia, of Street; a sister, Elise J. Smith and her husband, Timothy, of Bel Air; eight nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Andrew W. Johnson to the Thomas Run Church Foundation, 2418 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD 21015.
