Andrew S. Benoska, age 76, of Joppatowne, MD, died on March 31, 2010 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Larksville, PA, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Schlosser Benoska. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Bethlehem Steel where he was a general foreman/superintendent for the Coke Ovens, and was an active member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends, boating on the Chesapeake and vacationing at the beach.
Mr. Benoska is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Johns Benoska of Joppatowne, MD; children, Patrick T. Benoska of Aberdeen, MD, Andrew M. Benoska and wife, Linda Ruth, of Delray, FL, Deborah A. Owings and husband, Ronald K., of Forest Hill, MD, and Stephen W. Benoska and wife, Tina, of Abingdon, MD; grandchildren, Matthew T. and Katherine A. Owings of Forest Hill, MD; and nieces, Barbara DeLuca of Larksville, PA and Elizabeth O'Konski of Kingston, PA.
