Andrew Camille Pierne'

April 26, 1920 — March 19, 2004

ANDREW CAMILLE PIERNË, age 83, of Fallston, died at his home on March 19, 2004. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Camille Charles and Teresa DeBarbieri Piernë. A graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1941, he worked for Glen L. Martin Company, then Edgewood Arsenal, and then at the Limited War Lab. He was a mechanical engineer. A resident of Harford County since 1958, he attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air.

Mr. Pierne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marydella Funk Pierne; three sons, Robert Andrew Pierne of Edgewood; William Camille Pierne of Bel Air; James Gilbert Pierne of Hagerstown; one sister, Mildred Lagomarsini of Henderson, Nevada; two grandchildren, Marc Andrew Pierne of Hagerstown; William Bryant Whaley of Hagerstown; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Whaley and Kathryn Whaley, both of Hagerstown. He is also survived by his longtime caregivers, Kirstin and Kenneth Rutkowski.

Pallbearers were: Robert Pierne, Kenneth Rutkowski, Glenn Martin, and James Pierne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21014.
