ANDREW “BUD” LUCOT JR., age 83, of Aberdeen, MD, died on September 7, 2006 at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Dusseldort, Germany, he was the son of the late Andrew William Lucot Sr. and the late Katharina Becher Lucot. Along with a partner, Mr. Lucot owned and operated L&H cleaners for over thirty years. He was very civic minded and during the 1960’s, he closed up his store for a week, so that he could march with Martin Luther King Jr. At one time, he was also employed at Martin Marietta and Merrill Lynch Realty. He served his country as a navigator with the Army Air Corp during WWII. Years ago, he was also very active in the Edgewood Lions Club.
Mr. Lucot is survived by his wife, Jan Scott Lucot of Aberdeen, MD; one son, William Lucot and his wife of Abingdon, MD; one daughter, Linda Lucot Wilson and her husband of Villa Rica, GA; one sister, Margaret Dougherty of LaVale, MD; two grandchildren; three stepchildren and their spouses, and seven step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy H. Lucot and a sister, Elizabeth DeCeasor.
