Elaine Michael Dombrowski, age 82, and Andrew Dombrowski, age 89, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on December 27, 2020 and December 20, 2020 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Elaine and Andrew were married for 30 years. Elaine was born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Alphonse Michael and Antoinette Klimovitz. Andrew was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Andrzej and Karolina (Dombrowska) Dombrowski. The couple were longtime members of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bradshaw, Maryland.
Elaine enjoyed book clubs, shopping and lunching with her friends, singing in the St. Stephen Resurrection Choir, and spending time with her family.
Andrew was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He played the piano at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and GBMC. He was a Member of P.L.A.V. (Polish League of American Veterans). He was the owner of the original Fells Point Princess. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and learning new songs on the piano.
Elaine and Andrew are survived by their two daughters, Susan Baer and her husband, Richard, Jennifer Curtin and her husband, Timothy, and daughter-in-law, Sharon Lepus; and six grandchildren, Jill Lepus, Lainey Baer, Jenna Lepus, Kaidey Baer, Colin Curtin, and Carson Curtin. They also rescued a Basenji dog named Donut, who they both loved dearly.
In addition to their parents, they were preceded in death by Elaine’s son, John Lepus, Andrew’s brother, Raymond John Dombrowski, and sister-in-law, Esther Everitt Dombrowski.
Services, at this time, will be private. A Celebration of Life, hosted by the family, will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Reach to Recovery, where Elaine volunteered.
